About borosilicate glass

Borosilicate glass...is a type of glass that contains boron trioxide which allows for a very low coefficient of thermal expansion. This means it will not crack under extreme temperature changes like regular glass. Its durability has made it the glass of choice for high-end restaurants, laboratories and wineries.

About stainless steel

Stainless steel...is a metal alloy, made up of steel mixed with elements such as chromium, nickel, molybdenum, silicon, aluminum, and carbon. Iron mixed with carbon to produce steel is the main component of stainless steel. Chromium is added to make it resistant to rust.

Give extra protection if you really need to put it inside a bag or suitcase.

Experts suggest reusable water bottles should be washed each time after use. Tetro said you can rinse your bottle with hot water over 71 C. With temperatures of about 55 C, use soap with some kind of cloth or sponge and make sure you're giving your bottle a thorough rinse. Dry your water bottle after that.

Try to keep acidic drinks like tea & coffee for no more than 2 hours to avoid damaging the coating in the bottle.

Brush the inside of your bottle regularly with a small bottle brush and water.

If the inside of your bottle is starting to look, feel or smell of anything other than stainless steel you may like to try one of these options on a weekly basis to remove stubborn stains and discolouration.

1/ Regular white vinegar is excellent for removing staining and cleaning the inside of your products.  Shake a couple of tablespoons of household white vinegar around the inside of your product and leave for a couple of minutes.  Rinse well. Or…

2/ Rinse the inside with water to “wet” the metal. Sprinkle a little salt onto a bottle brush and gently rub the salty brush on the inside of your bottle. Rinse well.
